| | SCARA stands for Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm. As is known from the name, it is designed mainly for automation of assembling works. It is also very effective in component carrying works or pick & place works, since SCARA robot has outstanding speed and excellent cost-performance, compared with cartesian coordinate robot.
miniSCARA is a SCARA robot that is designed tobe very compact in its size, low-cost but high-performance. It optimizes the use of the laboratory work-surface by its compact design and provides an ideal platform for automating repetitive and diverse tasks, in areas such as : biotechnology, drug discovery, quality control/assurance, genetic analysis, clinical testing, and sample preparation.
To reduce the cost, we developed new low-cost DC servo driver for its control unit. The 2 axes DC servos, as the main actuators, can be combined with any type of actuators such as air sylinders or pulse motors used for the 3rd and 4th axes. | | |
